Fox news is now calling Rep. Foley a Democrat and asking if the democrats ignored Foley emails to save the house seat!! Do you know how many people will actually believe these blatant malicious lies before they're corrected?

I can't wait for Florida representative Foley to say he was "just doing research on online predator behavior" since he was on the exploited children's committee. It worked for Pete Townshend.

goddamn i just got tickets to see Crispin Glover October 20 at the Castro Theatre. Just in case you missed it, he was the tall thin man on Charlies Angels the movie, and George McFly on Back to the Future, and the one who almost karate kicked David Letterman, but his head was full of acid anyways.

If anyone's going to bite a head off a bat live on stage, it's going to be him.

edit:

i should also explain the movie of his that he's presenting is called "What is it?" and the actors all have Down's, but it's not a movie about Down's.

further editing done on 9/15 to fix drunken grammar.

San Francisco update [Jun. 13th, 2006|05:34 pm]
If you've ever driven in San Francisco, then you understand why this probably happens every day.

Tien Chiu was having dinner at a pizzeria on San Francisco's Potrero Hill when this oil tanker ran aground stretch SUV got stranded. Unable to resist, we ran the photo she took with her cell phone in our Compass weblog under the heading, "Captions, Anyone?" Readers quickly responded. Among the better suggestions so far: "Screw it, we'll have prom right here." And "Dude, I think we've reached a tipping point!" (courtesy Sierra Club)

just to catch everyone up..... [May. 22nd, 2006|10:44 pm]
The "Welcome Home" party will be taking place at a "to be announced" time and place but definitely somewhere in San Francisco. If you can't make it, then I'll just sit a stuffed animal in your place wearing a name tag and a drink in it's paw.

We finally made it after a very long car ride. But not without a stopover in Joplin, Missouri which we discovered is a 60,000 strong city in rural MO that has the 2nd highest per capita gay people outside of SF. And we stopped in Albuquerque. Spent 2 nights in hot! Phoenix with friends. Visited a friend in Long Beach and went out to the Abbey and ate at Fiesta Cantina which is home of the "you have 30 seconds left of happy hour, so decide what you want quickly" and you end up with 4 margaritas. By the way, cocktails average about $14 per drink in LA.

That's it for now. I start work tomorrow, so the vacation is semi-over. Let the summer begin!

My new cell # is 415-680-4845 so don't be afraid to text or call.

2nd Weekly Going Away Party! [May. 10th, 2006|12:48 pm]
Yes, the Civic will be done on time, so the countdown begins. And, just in time for Party #2! Rashaun has moved in the past couple months so don't show up at Warren St. cuz no one will be there. Due to contractual obligations I'm not allowed to publicly post his new address so email, text, or call me and I'll give it to you.

Things I learned this morning already [Mar. 11th, 2006|10:39 am]
[music |my ipod broke this week]

According to Forbes, a lot of billionaire's drive 6 to 20 year old basic, cheap cars as their daily drivers.

and

According to Discover, we've only catalogged 1% of living things on Earth. And, virus's may have been around since the very beginning of life, and maybe helped start the whole life thing.

Also, I've had really bad luck with electronic equipment recently. Maybe my whole rotational axis is off, and i'm vibrating at some level that's breaking stuff. In the past 2 weeks: my gaming computer's RAM started producing a bunch of errors. I dropped my iPod twice and the hard drive failed. Andrew's and my cell fon both got wet and need replaced. Yesterday instead of hitting a button to enable x-ray, i hit the power button, then we all had to wait 7 minutes for it to turn back on, and when it did, it needed repaired which took another 10 minutes.
